I truly believe in conservation, it is a vital part of my everyday work as a rancher and outfitter. I take pride in what I do and how I do it. My life and daily routine are based on improving the lands and water while adapting to and respecting nature’s changes in weather cycles. I rotate livestock in order to not overgraze the landscape but to keep and provide fresh forage and cover for wildlife. I rotate my riparian areas to keep good nesting and calving sites for wildlife. My irrigation is flood irrigated, where I take from the creek and irrigate it back into the creek and allow more than enough water to keep enough oxygen flow for trout. I am constantly improving, and developing water sites for wildlife and livestock, and creating habitat projects to improve summer and winter range for elk and deer. Future projects include: irrigation improvements on gated pipe and head gates - which will allow for even less water to be used, prescribed burning, brush management, trail clearing, fuel reduction in conifer and aspen stands, replacing woven wire fence, invasive weed control, food plots, and many more.
