Spotting Elk Early, Good Preview for this Fall...

Elk hunting season is right around the corner. Only nine more days until archery season starts.  The summer has been drier than we would have liked it to be but we did have a better winter than the year prior, which helped the grass get started and just enough rain to keep the grass growing.  We have been seeing some elk this summer at the ranch, which is a great sign.  We have had an elk herd of about forty elk staying in the neighborhood and while seeing other elk here and there.  I saw a great six-point bull in the evening about five days ago at a watering hole, what an awesome sight.  Looking forward to a great elk hunting season.
